Brooklyn Eats, the borough’s first Fancy Food-style trade show (if you are in the industry, you know what I mean) will take place on Wednesday, June 26th at 630 Flushing Avenue in the former Pfizer Building in East Williamsburg!
This free event supports Brooklyn’s food manufacturing businesses and helps to create a borough-wide network/community of food producers and artisans! This full day event will allow attendees to experience all the tastes of Brooklyn, meet the makers of these wonderful products and enjoy a variety of programming about food and its production in Brooklyn!
But heads up… this is definitely not a tasting event so don’t expect to show up and chow down on unlimited food, nope this is a great way to learn more about the products being made in our city and scope out some new favorite eats & treats!
Some of my favorites will be there, including The Jam Stand, Mama Rao’s, Fresh Ginger, Sfoglini Pasta Shop, Kelvin Natural Slush, Steve’s Authentic Key Lime, Saucy by Nature, Steve’s Ice Cream, Liddabit Sweets, King’s County Jerky, Acme Smoked Fish, Brooklyn Winery and more!
Discover the delights of the culinary traditions and culture of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France with the Sud de France Festival! This three-week event runs until Sunday, June 23rd and is filled with wine classes, concerts, wine tastings, seminars, bus tours, and local restaurant events with wine pairings!
One of the 27 regions of France, Languedoc-Roussillon is comprised of five areas in the southernmost region of France that borders the French regions of Provence, Alpes, Cote D’Azue, Rhone-Alpes, Auvergne, Midi-Pyreness on one side and Spain, Andorra and the Mediterranean Sea on the other side.
Check out their calendar for more information on their many exceptional events and immerse yourself in the culture and spirit of the Languedoc-Roussillon region with the help of musicians, wine makers, and chefs!!!
Imagine living or owning a business in the heart of the 2nd Avenue Subway Construction? I shudder at the mere thought! While it looks like we are inching closer to having those behemoth trailer looking structures vanish….the businesses that line the bustling avenue has been dealing with it for years and likely suffering greatly from the construction.
To help bring attention to the local businesses, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce has launched 2nd Avenue Restaurant & Retail Week! Starting tomorrow, Saturday June 1st and through Saturday, June 8th….56 businesses (gyms, spas, restaurants and retailers) from 68th-96th street will be offering great deals! Check out the list of participants and their offers here, print out and bring to the participating store to redeem!
So get ready to dine and shop on 2nd Avenue and help support the local business community in the eye of the 2nd Avenue Subway Storm!

While checking out Instagram earlier this week I noticed a heavenly looking sandwich ready to be eaten by one of my favorite accounts, Immaculate Infatuation, accompanied by the following text….”Monday Italian sub delivery from @CoppaSandwiches, High quality #EatsAtTheDesk.” I immediately clicked on the link and found the source of this drool worthy meal….Coppa Sandwiches, an Italian sandwich shop based in NYC, they deliver classic Italian cold cut sandwich meals only on Mondays (for now).
For just ten dollars in downtown Manhattan (their delivery area is expanding), Coppa delivers a delicious sandwich (made with an italian baguette, prosciutto cotto, coppa, pepperoni and mortadella, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, vinaigrette and peppers), a bag of Cape Cod chips, Brooklyn Brine pickles, and an Italian soda of the day right to your door. It’s their version of the classic school lunch where they don’t allow any substitutions and only accept cash (and make sure to tip your delivery person).
Just follow the easy steps and soon enough you’ll be enjoying this great deal….
- Step 1 – Use the form or Text 646 673 0004. Delivery starts at 11am. They begin taking orders at 10am.
- Step 2 – Give them your name, quantity, cross streets, and approximate time of hunger
- Step 3 – Be patient….you must be patient!
*Please note that they may sell out or you may be out of their delivery zone
Thank you Immaculate Infatuation for posting the photo and introducing me to this great concept. You better believe that I’ll be ordering a Coppa Sandwich right at ten am this Monday!
